We build software that holds up after launch.
CodeBeyonds is a product engineering studio based in India, working with founders and businesses who need more than a website and less than a hundred-person agency.
Why we started
We kept seeing the same thing: products that looked finished at launch and became impossible to change a year later.
Usually nobody did anything wrong. The design was handed over as pictures, the code was written to hit a date, and the people who understood why things were built a certain way moved on. The business was left with software it couldn’t afford to rebuild and couldn’t safely change.
CodeBeyonds works the other way round. Designers and engineers sit in the same cycle. Decisions are written down. Code lives in your accounts from the first day. And when we add AI to a product, it comes with the tests that show whether it’s actually working.
What we believe about building software
Software is a business decision
Every feature costs money to build and more to maintain. We push back on scope that doesn't move the number you care about, even when it would be fun to build.
Boring infrastructure, ambitious products
We choose well-understood tools for the foundations so the product itself can take risks. Postgres before the new database. Plain TypeScript before the clever abstraction.
AI is a component, not a strategy
Models are powerful and unreliable in equal measure. We treat them like any other dependency: tested, monitored, replaceable, and only used where they beat the alternative.
Leave it better than we found it
The measure of our work is whether your team can run and change it after we've gone. Documentation, tests and handover are part of the job, not extras.
Ways to work with us
Most clients start with a discovery sprint. Some come with a scope already clear.
Discovery sprint
2 weeks
For ideas that need shaping. You leave with a scoped first release, an architecture sketch, a clickable prototype and a fixed quote to build it.
Fixed-scope build
6–16 weeks
For a defined first release. Agreed scope, fixed price, demos every two weeks, and a handover at the end.
Product team
Monthly
For products that keep evolving. A small team of design and engineering working from your roadmap, month to month.
The practices behind it
- Business-first engineeringEvery project begins with a signed one-page problem statement and two or three success measures. If we cannot write them down, we are not ready to quote.
- AI only where it earns its placeAI features ship with an evaluation set and pass criteria agreed with you. If a rules engine does the job, we build the rules engine.
- Design-led developmentPrototypes are tested with users before build, and the Figma components map one-to-one to code components, so the shipped product matches what was approved.
- Systems you can keep runningYou own the repository and cloud accounts from day one. Every project ends with runbooks, architecture records and pairing sessions with your team.
